Vector Field Pop-Up Menu
A pop-up menu is available in the Data Settings and Properties to let you manage scalar information, as well as to export vector fields and execute macros. You should note that the items available in the pop-menu are dependent on the number of items selected — one or multiple.
The following items are available when you select a single vector field in the Data Properties and Settings panel.
The following options are available for creating boxes that correspond to the geometry of the selected item or to the item's clip box.
Current Box… Opens the Create a Box dialog with the geometry set to the bounding box of the selected item.
Note You can edit the geometry before you create the box, as well as modify the Advanced Properties, such as the box's position in space.
Current Clip Box… Opens the Create a Box dialog with the geometry set to the clip box of the selected item.
Note You can edit the geometry before you create the box, as well as modify the Advanced Properties, such as the box's position in space.
As ORSObject… Lets you save the selected vector field in the Dragonfly Object (*.ORSObject extension) file format (see Exporting Objects).
Provides a shortcut for selecting macros that can be executed for the selected item (see Recording and Playing Macros).
Opens the Compute Measurements dialog, in which you can compute measurements and add other values to vector fields (see Computing Measurements for Vector Fields).
Lets you export selected scalar values from vector fields to a comma-separated values (*.CSV extension) file (see Exporting Scalar Values from Vector Fields).
Opens the User Data dialog, in which you can view and add descriptions in the form of 'Name/Value' to the selected item. You can also edit any of the current descriptions (see Managing User Data).
Lets you export data in the comma-separated values (*.csv extension) file format. Exported data includes the unit and X, Y, and Z vector positions, as well as the X, Y, and Z vector quantities.
Lets you update the spatial scale of a vector field to obtain the correct values for measurements (see Spatial Scale Calibration).
Extracts the object's history as a macro, which can provide an audit trail to help troubleshoot processing issues (see Extracting Object Histories).
Note Object history macros can also be edited and replayed to create new objects.
The following items are available whenever you select two or more items in the Data Properties and Settings panel.
As Multiple ORSObject… Lets you save the selected items in the Dragonfly Object (*.ORSObject extension) file format as multiple files (see Exporting Objects). You should note that if the selected objects share the same name, their file names will be appended with a sequential number.

Provides a shortcut for selecting macros that can be executed for the number and type of items selected.
